ASTRAL DOORS Confirmed For Sweden's METALBÅTEN Festival

February 1, 2006

Swedish metallers ASTRAL DOORS are the sixth and final band to be confirmed for the Metalbåten festival, set to take place March 23-24 on the Silja Festival ferry (which traffics the Baltic Sea between Stockholm, Sweden and Turku, Finland). The complete lineup is as follows:

RAGE
MARDUK
FREEDOM CALL
DISMEMBER
HELLFUELED
ASTRAL DOORS

As of today, there are approximately 300 tickets left.

Commented the festival organizers: "We have the coolest raffle on our homepage: One lucky person will win a free (!) tattoo inspired [by] any of the bands playing on the event. The tattoo will be made in the ferry! The winner is chosen from the best or strangest graphic idea for the tattoo."

ASTRAL DOORS have been confirmed as the special guests on the upcoming European tour of BLIND GUARDIAN, set to take place in September/October (25 gigs in 40 days).

ASTRAL DOORS' third full-length disc, "Astralism", was recently completed and is scheduled for release in March. "Astralism" is described by the band as "another slab of old school hard rock with a touch of metal — something you can't help loving."

ASTRAL DOORS' most recent album, "Evil Is Forever" came out in early 2005. An EP, entitled "Raiders Of The Ark", followed in October 2005.
